Treatment Modalities:
*Family Systems assumes that all members in a family are connected and that nothing happens in a vacuum, what affects one member affects all members.
*Play Therapy differs from regular play in that the therapist helps children systematically address and resolve their own problems at a safe psychological distance and in a way best suited for their developmental level.
*Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that helps people change how they think, feel or act in order to improve their mood, reduce stress, or achieve other important health and life goals.
Service Elements:
*Biopsychosocial Assessments – As part of treatment planning, Holly conducts a thorough assessment to not only identify issues of concern, but strengths and specific goals as well. This may include: *CAFAS ratings, formal tests and screenings, and observations.
*Individual Therapy – To provide clients with a safe place to explore and identify feelings and strengths to facilitate insight and awareness necessary for change.
*Group Therapy – To provide clients with education, support, and increased awareness of how actions affect others. A variety of topics are available.
*Family Therapy – To provide education, support and awareness of the dynamics of the family that relate to the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of each other.
*Play Therapy – To allow a trained Play Therapist to assess and understand play and use it to assist one in coping with difficult emotions and in finding solutions to problems. By safely confronting problems, one can find creative solutions and change the way they thinks about, feel toward, and resolve their problems.
